These tours take you to some of the most beautiful natural spots in Kangasala. While walking, you’ll learn about the local environment and enjoy light exercises tailored to participants’ needs. The hikes last between 2 and 4 hours and include a packed snack. Tours are available on a scheduled basis or by request for 4 to 10 persons.
Walking in wool socks is a fun experience, like revisiting childhood barefoot walks. Trekking on soft snow activates the feet and, through them, the entire body's muscles and muscle chains. After a warm-up, the hike follows a winter trail, occasionally venturing into untouched snow, all while enjoying the surrounding nature and the beauty of winter. At the end of the hike, we stretch and enjoy a warm drink.
Wear three pairs of wool socks layered over each other, and you can bring trekking poles if you wish. Equipment can also be borrowed from the organizer if needed.
Be close to nature with sliding snowshoes! On this excursion, we will ski off the trails, in the embrace of nature. Sliding snowshoes are lighter than regular snowshoes, making it easier to move through terrain and on ice, and thanks to the grip on the bottom, they perform well in ascents. The trip can be carried out, for example, in Kangasala at Kirkkoharju, in Kuhmalahti in Laipanmaa, or on the shores and ice of Längelmävesi.
The route will be planned according to the participants' wishes. The excursion includes guidance in the terrain, rental of high-quality sliding snowshoes from Oac, and a hot drink by the campfire or in a café.
Experience the historic trail from Keisarinharju to Vehoniemenharju and back. This guided hike takes you through high ridges, deep kettle holes, and two scenic towers while offering breathtaking views of the lake landscapes that inspired the song Kesäpäivä Kangasalla. With a guide leading the way, you can fully immerse yourself in nature without worrying about the route. Along the way, you’ll also learn about the area's unique features and history. The hike includes light exercises and a delicious snack from a local café.
This excursion is perfect for anyone who enjoys walking on forest trails. The route is approximately 10 km long and takes 4–5 hours. Available by request.
Spend a day on Kangasala’s most scenic trail along Kaarinanpolku. This relaxed hike follows a winding path around the wilderness-like Heramaanjärvi. We’ll pause on a lakeside cliff to enjoy the included snack and admire the rugged beauty of the crystal-clear waters. If needed, we’ll also take time to care for the body with light exercises.
On this guided hike, you’ll learn about the unique features of the area while safely enjoying nature. Suitable for all who love hiking, including children and pets. The route is 7 km. Available by request.
Discover the authenticity, tranquility, and silence of Laipanmaa. As one of the largest continuous forest areas in southern Finland, it offers a true escape into nature. The guided tour begins at the historic Rajala forest cabin and winds through the traditional Häme landscape, passing small bogs and ponds. Along the way, you’ll hear stories about life in Laipanmaa and explore its hidden natural gems.
Weather permitting, we’ll make a campfire at a wilderness shelter, take time for body care, and enjoy freshly brewed coffee with snacks.
